As a private club, we desire to maintain the safest shooting environment possible. While we do allow individual use of the range, a Range Safety Officer (RSO) must be present at all times that shooting activities occur. We encourage all members interested in using the range either privately or in small groups to complete training in the NRA RSO courses. Several of our members are NRA certified to offer RSO training. Due to the unique conditions and diverse activities available at the Skyway range, we require a Range Orientation for each Range Safety Officer. This talk will take place at the range (weather permitting) to better allow newly qualified RSO's a chance to understand range features and responsibilities for safe range operation and enjoyment. The group size will be kept below 10 members to encourage open discussion and questions. Paradise Rod & Gun Club Inc. offers five position trap shooting every Saturday and Tuesday from 9:00am to 1:00pm. Shot size is limited to 7 1/2 Oz and 3 drams load. Please be ready to shoot no later than 12:30pm as shooting ceases at 1:00pm SHARP! Contact our Trap Shooting Chairman for additional information. The rifle range is available 7 days a week from 9:00am to the earlier of 8:00pm or 1 hour before sunset, with the exception that the rifle range will not be in operation during active trap shooting on Saturday and Tuesday 9am to 1pm. If trap is not being shot at the time, the rifle range can be used. Also note that the club is beginning to be very active with Youth Rifle Training and NRA Qualifications for various disciplines. Archery target shooting is permitted during all daylight hours. Our range has 20, 30, 40, 50 and 60 yard target supports available. When practicing at our range, please do not use broadhead arrows.
